Jolie M. Hoffmann, Psy.D.

Dr. Jolie Hoffmann received her undergraduate training at Florida State University and went on to pursue her Master's and Doctorate degrees from Fuller's Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, California.  Having completed her Clinical Internship with The Health Center affiliated with BroMenn Hospital, she has made Bloomington/Normal, Illinois her home since 1997, working both at the Center for Human Services in Peoria, as well as serving as a Clinical Consultant for the McLean County Human Service Center's Child and Adolescent program.  She was part of Twin Cities Behavioral Health prior to going into practice with Dr. Christina Burchett.   
 
Drawing upon an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches, Dr. Hoffmann takes a collaborative approach when working with her clients, in order to address the unique challenges and needs of children/adolescents and adults alike.  Her style combines best practice guidelines with a blend of genuineness and sensitivity aimed to support change in a safe and nonjudgmental setting, while providing practical steps to facilitate success and encourage greater strength and resiliency.

Christina M. Burchett, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
 
Dr. Christina Burchett completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia followed by a Master's degree in Counseling at Regent University. She went on to attain her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s degree in Theology at Fuller's Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA. Dr. Burchett's predoctoral training included specialties in working with cancer patients; children and families; and those with dual-diagnoses of substance abuse and emotional difficulties.
 
Prior to moving to Illinois, Dr. Burchett was employed  in a variety of settings including serving as a Senior Psychologist with Ventura County Behavioral Health Children Services; the Clinical Director of Social Model Recovery Systems in Los Angeles, CA; and working as the Staff Psychologist at PROTOTYPES Women's Center.
 
Dr. Burchett's approach to treatment is predominantly based in Psychodynamic Treatment.  Within this frame work, she is eclectic in that she considers the individual's needs and desired changes and often incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy and experiential play therapy. Dr. Burchett believes strongly that a good fit between therapist and individual is critical to making desired changes; and that the individual's emotional, physical and spiritual needs are all worthy of attention.
